Dad: King Of All Wild Things!

Father's Day is almost here!

Today, our artists in our After School Group Art Classes (ages 4-12) honored their dads with some original artwork inspired by Where The Wild Things Are. With guidance from Ms. Alison, the kids all individually drew their very own dad-inspired mixed media Wild Things using pencils and Sharpies, and then finished off their projects with liquid watercolors and oil pastels.

The artists got to practice more techniques by learning about different patterns. Utilizing what they learned, they got to draw their favorite patterns onto their Wild Thing -- including alligator scales, fish scales and bear skin. In the end, each artist had an end result that was different from the next! Everyone's piece was uniquely their own.

Let the wild rumpus start!

In our elementary school aged class (ages 4-12), the children will be introduced to a variety of medium, techniques and art themes. The educational aspect of the curriculum begins to receive more emphasis and projects become more involved as the children are exposed to new challenges. Our classes are designed to meet the different learning styles of this age group and to encourage and develop self-confidence, determination and creativity in the student.
